Handling The People

1. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you (Matthew 7:12)
a. Decide how you want others to treat you and treat everyone that way.

2. Be Quick to encourage people
a. Always build up, strengthen, and help

3. Show your appreciation for others
a. The deepest principle in human nature is the craving to be appreciated

4. Love people more than programs
a. The things that God will ever rescue from this planet are His people
b. Ministry is not about power but about People

5. Learn to Forgive (Mark 11:25-26)
a. Only people who are doing something will need forgiveness. Ernest Hemingway’s story of Paco. The greatest marks of the Christian are that they are giving and forgiving.

6. Don’t overreact to conflicts

a. You will have conflict – don’t make it worse by overreacting. Be slow to talk, but quick to hear

7. Don’t be defensive
a. You never win in relationships when you’re defensive. A secure person can resolve differences.

8. Always believe the best in people
a. Look up to people – never down. You help them be successful by believing the best.
